Annual Report 2021

The Mentoring Club gUG operates an online platform where experts and experienced leaders from various fields can volunteer their time as pro-bono mentors. Access to the mentors is free for all registered mentees. The mentors offer video sessions through the platform, providing advice, coaching, and discussing specific questions and issues from the mentees' daily lives. In addition to the online mentoring platform, we offer free individual seminars, curated book lists and summaries, a blog, and a podcast. Members of the platform can also communicate with each other via an online chat platform provided by us.

Even in the first year after its founding, in 2021, we as a non-profit organization (The Mentoring Club) have continued our commitment to promoting and supporting individuals in their personal and professional development, contributing additionally to the cohesion and exchange of various cultures through our international orientation.

Activities

In 2021, we continued our online mentoring program and recorded a total of 1,498 active and an additional 350 inactive mentors. A total of 2,414 people from 113 different countries registered as mentees. The mentors and mentees come from various professional fields. Through our platform, our mentors were able to share their knowledge and experience with the mentees in individual conversations, thus contributing to the professional development of the mentees.

As founders, shareholders, and managing directors of the organization, we took care of the operational business and the running of the platform, programmed additional functionalities for the platform, managed the member community, and ensured appropriate reach of the offering on relevant social media.

In addition, last year we also placed special emphasis on simplified access to additional training formats. Our mentors can now present and recommend specialist books on their profile pages. We have written or commissioned numerous blog articles on topics relevant to our mentees, and we were able to attract several exciting personalities for master classes and lectures where our community could acquire new knowledge.

Financing

Our mentoring platform is mainly financed by donations from our members and followers. These funds were used exclusively for operating the software, expanding our reach through multimedia content, and creating relevant learning materials for our members.
